PowerTel Re-certified by BSi

October 26, 2007, PowerTel completed it’s re-certification audit under ISo-9001:2000 with BSi.

PowerTel established its Quality Management System in 1994. The PowerTel QMS is currently compliant and registered to ISO-9001:2000 standard. This Quality Manual describes PowerTel’s business operations and defines the Quality Management System (QMS) and the procedures through which the company achieves the stated Quality Policy, Quality Objectives and meets the requirements of the Standard.

All processes are planned and controlled to achieve desired results while complying with applicable standards, regulations and customer specific requirements. The scope of the QMS includes all PowerTel operations involved in the construction and maintenance of facilities for the transportation of electrical energy and rental of associated personnel and equipment.

PowerTel maintains a Quality Management System, Procedures and Instructions through which the company:

  • Consistently delivers products, services and installations that meet customer requirements, the Electrical Safety Code, supply authority standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act and regulations, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, E&U.S.A. Rule Book and E&U.S.A Safe Practices Guidelines.
  • Achieves customer confidence and satisfaction
  • Realizes the Company Vision and organizational objectives
  • Achieves Continuous Improvement

The quality system documentation through which the company maintains its QMS have been defined and developed. The degree of documentation required is dependent on the methods used, skills needed, and training required by the personnel assigned to the activity.

The PowerTel QMS is a four tiered system consisting of:

  • TIER 1 - Quality Manual
  • TIER 2 - Quality Procedures, Procedural Flow Charts and Forms
  • TIER 3 - Work Instructions, Drawings, Customer Specifications, Regulations, Standards, Instructional Flow Charts, Forms and Control Plans.
  • TIER 4 - Quality Records.
