PowerTel received the President's Award from the Electrical and Utilities Safety Association (E&USA) for 250,000 man-hours without a Lost Time occurrence from September 13, 1995 to November 1, 1997. In June 2001, PowerTel received the low frequency award for 2000 for zero lost time injuries from E&USA for the 15,000 to 60,000 man-hour category. These are achievements PowerTel is very proud of and shows our commitment to safety.

The training of employees and supervisors to focus on safety and the elimination of risk has been the success of PowerTel. This includes all our subcontractors. Our dedication to employee trades training, job planning, safety meetings, the use of personal protective equipment and proper operation of trucks and equipment is the key. The total participation of our workforce ensures we provide a service our customers are satisfied with.

Our involvement in the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario (ECAO), Electrical and Utilities Safety Association (E&USA), Electrical Safety Authority (ESA), Provincial Labour-Management Safety Committee on Line Work (PLMSC) and the Construction Safety Association of Ontario (CSAO) at the board levels has helped us to become industry leaders. The PowerTel name is recognized for a job well done, done safely, to the customer's satisfaction and on time. We do not create problems for our clients we solve them.
